Terms of service
Empire Muse Studio
Last updated: 3 September 2026
These Terms & Conditions apply to all services provided by Empire Muse Studio. By booking a service, paying a deposit or making payment for a project, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms.
1. Services
Empire Muse Studio provides creative services including brand identity design, graphic design, social media design, digital design, website design and other related creative services.
The exact deliverables included within your project will be outlined within the package, product description, proposal or written agreement provided before work begins.
Anything not specifically included within the agreed scope may be subject to an additional fee.
2. Booking & Deposits
Where a deposit is offered, your booking is not secured until the required deposit has been received.
The remaining balance must be paid according to the payment schedule agreed at the time of booking.
Work will not begin until any required initial payment has been received and the information required to begin the project has been supplied.
3. Payments
All prices are displayed in GBP unless otherwise stated.
Payment must be made through the payment methods provided by Empire Muse Studio.
Where instalments are agreed, payments must be made by their stated due dates.
Final files, website handover or other completed deliverables may be withheld until the full outstanding balance has been received.
Any third-party costs that are not expressly included within the package price remain the responsibility of the client.
4. Client Responsibilities
The client is responsible for providing accurate information, content, wording, photographs, product details and any other materials required to complete the project.
The client must ensure they have permission and appropriate rights to use any material supplied to Empire Muse Studio.
Empire Muse Studio will not be responsible for delays caused by missing information, delayed feedback or materials supplied late by the client.
5. Project Timescales
Estimated project timescales will be provided where appropriate.
Timescales are estimates rather than guaranteed completion dates unless a specific deadline has been agreed in writing.
Delays in receiving feedback, content, approvals or payments may result in the project completion date being moved.
6. Revisions
Each package includes the number of revisions stated within its description or agreement.
A revision means a reasonable adjustment to an existing design or concept and does not include a complete change of creative direction or a request to restart the project.
Additional revisions or work outside the agreed project scope may incur an additional charge. Any additional costs will be communicated before that work is undertaken.
7. Approval of Designs
Clients are responsible for reviewing all designs carefully before giving final approval.
This includes checking spelling, grammar, names, contact details, pricing, dimensions and any other information contained within the design.
Once final approval has been provided, changes may be treated as additional work and may incur a fee.
8. Cancellations & Refunds
Cancellation and refund requests will be handled in accordance with Empire Muse Studio's Refund & Cancellation Policy and applicable UK consumer law.
Where work has already begun at the client's request, the client may be required to pay for work properly completed up to the point of cancellation where legally permitted.
Any statutory cancellation or refund rights that apply to a consumer are not excluded or restricted by these Terms.
9. Intellectual Property & Ownership
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Empire Muse Studio retains ownership of concepts, drafts and unused designs created during the design process.
Once the project has been completed and payment has been received in full, the client will receive the rights to use the final approved designs as specified within their package or agreement.
Editable working files, source files, unused concepts and preliminary designs are not automatically included unless expressly stated.
10. Fonts, Images & Third-Party Assets
Some projects may contain fonts, stock photography, illustrations, applications, software, themes or other assets supplied by third parties.
These items remain subject to the licence terms of their respective owners.
Where the client needs to purchase or maintain a separate licence, subscription or account, this will remain the client's responsibility.
11. Websites & Third-Party Platforms
Where Empire Muse Studio provides website design services, websites may rely on third-party platforms, apps, domains, hosting providers or subscription services.
Unless expressly included in your package, ongoing charges associated with these services are the responsibility of the client.
Empire Muse Studio is not responsible for outages, platform changes, technical failures, price increases or changes made by third-party providers after handover.
12. Website Handover
Once a website has been approved, completed and handed over, the client becomes responsible for its ongoing management unless ongoing support has been purchased separately.
Changes made by the client or another third party following handover are outside Empire Muse Studio's responsibility.
13. Portfolio & Promotion
Unless otherwise agreed, Empire Muse Studio may display completed work within its portfolio, website and social media channels for the purpose of showcasing previous projects.
Confidential information will not knowingly be published.
If a project must remain confidential, this should be discussed and agreed before work begins.
14. Communication & Feedback
Clients are expected to provide feedback and requested information within a reasonable timeframe.
If a client becomes unresponsive for an extended period, the project may be paused and the original completion timeframe may no longer apply.
Any arrangements for restarting a significantly delayed project will be communicated with the client.
15. Refusal or Termination of Service
Empire Muse Studio reserves the right to refuse or end a project where reasonably necessary, including in cases of abusive or threatening behaviour, repeated non-payment, unlawful requests or serious breaches of these Terms.
Where a project is terminated, any outstanding payments, completed work and refunds will be handled in accordance with the agreement and applicable law.
16. Limitation of Responsibility
Empire Muse Studio will take reasonable care when providing its services but cannot guarantee specific commercial outcomes from a design, brand, website or marketing asset.
The client remains responsible for business decisions and for ensuring that their business complies with relevant laws and regulations.
Nothing within these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including rights that cannot legally be excluded under UK consumer law.
17. Changes to These Terms
Empire Muse Studio may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The terms applicable to a particular booking will normally be those provided or made available when the booking was made, unless a change is subsequently agreed or required by law.
18. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be dealt with according to the applicable laws and jurisdictional rules.
